Colourful autumn

Before the winter arrives, it is time to be spoilt once again. Enjoy the golden South Tyrolean autumn with all your senses while you are hiking or going Törggelen (farmers prepare their traditional local food), or visit one of the traditional feasts in our country. Brightly coloured leaves, red apples, juicy grapes and, of course, the traditional chestnuts, which are a must at every Törggelen - together with the new wine – are only some of the highlights of this wonderful season. The air is pleasantly warm, the days are clear, the mountains are within reach and you can enjoy the extraordinary clear distance views…

What could be better than hiking through the colourful landscape by passing golden larches and huge chestnut trees? While doing this, you can stop for a bite to eat in one of the local traditional Buschenschänke (local farmhouse serving home-made food and wine) and enjoy the famous Törggelen in a cheerful group.

It is the time of the famous Törggelen in cosy Buschenschänke and guesthouses where you are invited to taste the delicious local cuisine such as local sausages with Sauerkraut (pickled cabbage) and Speckknödel (dumplings) as well as Krapfen (a local sweet dessert), chestnuts, Speck and, of course, a delicious local South Tyrolean wine.
